with Tahoe, my external hard disk drives (HDD an SSDs) are ejecting, seemingly randomly - but def. at inconvenient times (like during system backups)

I am concerned about data loss as well. is there a fix coming from apple? only started with tahoe install. cables fine, ran disk utility on all, restarted, etc. thanks.

thanks neuroanatomist i did that too before posting this, and as it turns out, not sure if it was my 1 unpowered usb 3 hub or another of my 2 usb 3 powered hubs, but i decided to replace them all with new ones, all powered, 2 new powered ones with 18 total slots, 15 of them now filled again (external hard drives, printer, daw, keyboard, mouse, phone charge, etc.) and *so far* not a single disk ejection since, even while sleep or awakening. whew.

i have a feeling it was my 1 unpowered hub in the chain that was causing it, but replaced them all to be safe. thx.
