bbc radio stations disappeared in Apple Music

I had read that as well but it is not exactly the case.

As of today, TuneIn is offering all the BBC radion stations on their app and service (my Tesla could not play the BBC stations two days ago but can again today).

Ironically, Apple Music offered the BBC stations via TuneIn. But they have not reappeared. The only BBC station is BBC News Afrique. Strange and random.

I hope Apple Music can fix this. Otherwise, TuneIn becomes my new radio streaming app.

Yes. And it looks like it disappeared in the spring as well previously (and then came back).

I was able to stream it directly from tunein but it’s certainly not nearly as convenient

Hi all — just wanted to clarify what’s going on with BBC Radio stations disappearing from Apple Music in the U.S.

As of late 2025, the BBC discontinued international availability of BBC Sounds, the service that previously allowed global streaming of stations like BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music, etc. This change was based on licensing and distribution rights, which now limit access to listeners within the UK only.

Because of these updated restrictions, Apple Music and other platforms in the U.S. no longer carry the official BBC station streams. This isn’t a technical error — it’s the result of geo-restrictions set by the content provider (BBC).

BBC Radio 3 Unwind has also vanished, which means I’m now unable to stream it through my HomePod.

More frustrating is that they had been available on the tunein app itself even when they weren’t available through apple. Now they aren’t streaming there either

All the BBC radion stations (1-6) were back via TuneIn and now have disappeared as of 11/2/25. This is maddening. I am a passionate listener and am frustrated they are all gone.

Apple, help!!!!

I notice the same thing, last week I could still find them, now suddenly they have disappeared, also in my history (recently played). Very annoying, Apple can this be solved please?
