After only 2 hours of typing on Pages on my MacBook Air M4 running MacOs Tahoe, my MacBook battery went from 100 % to 40 % in just 2 hours....... Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, did not change anything...

Are you listening to music over bluetooth or streaming audio/video over Wi-Fi. Are other applications running constantly such as anti-virus, or VPN that may be hammering your battery? There is something going on that you are not sharing here, as Pages is simply not that hard on laptop batteries in my own experience.
These are fellow user supported and public communities where no Apple employees participate. You capitalized "need fixing" won't be seen by Apple and there isn't enough detailed information in your post to determine the real cause.
Verify that you are using Pages v14.4 with macOS 26.0.1. What other applications are running while Pages is in use?
