iPhone 16 Siri not responding to voice commands

So I just purchased an iPhone 16 a week ago and set up Apple Intelligence and Siri on it. It was working perfectly and registering instructions, changing songs, calling people even. But all of a sudden, when I say Hey Siri, although it lights up (meaning it gets activated), it does not perform the task i ask of it, nor does it respond. I have tinkered with a few settings here and there. The siri is performing tasks when I’m typing instructions to it though. Also my iOS is 26.0.1 Please let me know how to fix this issue.
