AirPods and case dead with unclear location on Find My

My airpods, along with the case are dead. I didn’t lose them away from home, they are still at my house, however the general area shown in Find My almost spans my whole house with no determination of which floor they are on. I’m genuinely not sure what to do. I’ve looked a lot, and I’m not sure if I can retrace my steps because I am not very good at remembering my steps. My parents would get mad about buying a replacement, so that’s out of the picture. I’m honestly very lost.
