How to find my dad’s old AirPods if they don’t show the lost icon in Find My?

Hi, I was finding my dad's AirPods, When I came to find it in Find My, I came up lost it. The AirPods are old. What's the way to find the AirPods? Should I contact Apple Support to find the location or something else?
