Cannot close some of the Ads at all, forcing me to close and restart the app/game

was playing the game cats&soup and in one of the things where I can watch an ad to get some ingame reward, but the thing is I have been sitting in this ad for 5 minutes and I get no option to cut it/turn it off and go back to the game. I know that the cat&soup game devs have got no control over what kind of ads show up, but the problem is how is it possible to have an ad that the user can never close?? Very shady and this issue will be mistaken as a problem with the actual apps and could take their rating down for no fault of their own. This is unacceptable.
