Eligibility criteria for student discount on Final Cut Pro in the Netherlands

I have read that students can get Final Cut Pro for a reduced price. What are the criteria a student needs to meet to be able to get the reduced price in the Netherlands? I have a school e-mail. Is that enough?

Apple offers not just Final Cut Pro, but a bundle of five professional applications for less than what Final Cut Pro normal price. "Pro Apps for Education" is what Apple calls this. You may have to contact Apple in Netherlands, or perhaps your school, to confirm elegibility.

Be sure to also check that your system meets the requirements of the software.

At present, Final Cut Pro requires at least Sequoia 15.6, I believe.

Assuming your computer meets the minimum requirements for FCP you could be using FCP in the next few minutes completely free of charge.

FCP has a free 90 day trial . . . no personal details required, simply click the "Download" button in the link below and it will be on your computer in minutes.

FCP FREE TRIAL

At the end of the 90 days it will stop working unless you decide to buy it.

Furthermore, every time it is updated you can download a new 90 day trial.

This means you could use it for the rest of your life for nothing . . . although if the updates are more than 90 days apart there could be gaps in your usage.

If you need a pro NLE there are alternatives to FCP. The free version of Resolve is just as capable as FCP minus a few items like Magnetic Mask and Voice Isolation.

Resolve Free

Furthermore Resolve is several apps in one as you get Fairlight which is a fully functioning sound editor, an export panel (with more features than Compressor) and Fusion which is similar to Motion.

All this could be on your computer in a few minutes for zero cost . . . tempted?
