Blue-yellow liquid in iPhone USB-C cable causing 'liquid detected' error

today morning when I plugged in my charger to my phone it said liquid detected, I got confused as I just bought this iPhone few weeks ago. After checking I found out my usb c cable had a blue-yellow weird liquid inside the port.

the place where I keep my charger is absolutely dry and there’s no sign of the blue-yellow liquid other than inside the port, not even on it’s outer surface.

I’m new to the community and fairly confused as well as worried so please help me. Thanks.

A defective or damaged USB-C cable should always be discarded/replaced. The cable is relatively cheap to replace - unlike your iPhone!

Your photo shows liquid damage to at least the delicate internal contacts of the USB-C plug. The plug also contains active electronic components - also very likely damaged.
