How to update old Apple Card number in Mac's AutoFill settings?

I found my Apple Card Number on my Mac. [macOS 26.0.1 (25A362)] But it is the old number and it can't be edited.

Settings>Wallet & Apple Pay>AutoFill Cards

The top entry is my Apple Card, it shows my old card number, it recently got changed. It is a convenient place to copy and paste from. How do I force it to update to the correct number? All the other cards can be edited, this Apple Card entry cannot. Where there would be an edit button, it just says done. I assume there is a way, besides drastically logging out of my Apple ID.

You must have added the Apple Card to your Mac to assure this number is updated. I don't know how it originally gets added to "AutoFill Cards" but for it to be accurate the Apple Card needs to be added to the wallet. I used my iPad to add my Apple Card to my Mac. Upon realizing the card number was wrong on my iPad as well, I added my Apple Card to my Wallet on my iPad and it asked me if I wanted it added to my Mac. At this point, both Apple Card"AutoFill Cards" were updated. Note: You may need to get a new keyboard for your Mac mini or other Mac that has the Fingerprint reader to add your Apple Card to your wallet and correct your Apple Card Number in AutoFill Cards.

The main reason for this thread is to show that your Apple Card Number is available on a Mac under "System Settings>Wallet & Apple Pay>AutoFill Cards" and as long as your Apple Card is in your Mac's wallet, the number shown in "AutoFill Cards" should be your current number.

I, while talking with Apple support, figured out how to correct this incorrect Apple Card Number. Otherwise, it doesn't seem to get synced for some reason. Apple support documented this. It was only after checking to see what my iPad showed, (the same problem as the Mac), that a solution presented itself.

There is another thread about this. They said they tried logging out of their Apple ID and it did not work. Then at some point later it updated... It wasn't clear that logging out of their Apple ID solved the problem. Does anyone even know when and how this gets updated? I can't imagine that when I get a new card number I have to log out of my Apple ID on my Mac. I'm worried about this. causing more problems than it solves. Maybe that card number will be bogus generally until one buys a new Mac.

According to my web search. I'm not even supposed to be able to see the number at all. Clearly that is wrong, since I can see the number that was good only a few days ago.
