Wavlink Docking Station Not Detecting Monitors

The problem is that the docking station isn't detecting my monitors. I have my keyboard and mouse connected to the docking station via USB and they work fine.

New setup

MacBook Air M3 2024.

Two monitors - Acer B246HL (only have display ports, no HDMI)

Wavlink WL-UB39PD11 Docking Station

Using DP to HDMI cables from monitors to docking station

Current driver installed

Current Displayport manager app installed

Previous set up

Dell docking station

connected one monitor to docking station and the other directly to macbook and it worked fine

MacBook Air 13″

Do you mean this?

WavLink – UG39PD1 USB-C Triple display Universal Docking Station with Power Delivery Model: WL-UG39PD

"Both DVI and HDMI Via DL Max. 2048 x 1152@60Hz

Extra HDMI via Vesa Alt. Mode Max. 4K@30Hz"

In other words, two outputs driven using the second-class DisplayLink workaround; one driven using hardware-supported video.

Acer – B246HL Widescreen LCD Monitor

You say that these monitors only have DisplayPort inputs – no HDMI ones. But according to Acer, these monitors, which have a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, don't have DisplayPort inputs. They have DVI and VGA ones.

If you were using DisplayPort to HDMI adapter cables to connect HDMI ports on your dock to DisplayPort inputs on monitors, that would likely be a cause of problems. Those adapter cables are normally unidirectional the other way. My impression is that it's easier to go back and forth between HDMI and single-link DVI, so if what you are using is a pair of HDMI to DVI cables, I'm not sure why you're seeing no signal.

You may want to check that the monitors are set to use their HDMI inputs rather than their VGA ones.
