iCloud Drive randomly deletes files and just leaves empty folders behind.

This is now the fifth time this has happened over multiple years. Luckily, I make monthly backups of all my files onto an external HDD.

It just deletes the files and leaves empty folders behind. I have no idea why this happens. This is the first time I caught it with all the files still in the trash. All the other times, they were just gone without a trace.

I have more than enough storage left on my 2TB plan.

I'm using the Windows Store version of iCloud Drive.

I'm on the latest version of Windows 11.

Let me know if I should provide any more information.

I attached a video showing what it looks like when it happens.
