Apple music web app playback skipping issues

At random times, when shuffling a playlist, the following will happen:

Song plays normally
The next song is selected by shuffle
This song starts playing normally
After 1 second, the song "skips"
Another song (from the same playlist) starts playing. However, the song title in the player is still the song that was "skipped".
Selecting next and then previous plays the "skipped" song like normal.

I can reproduce this any time, because it happens basically every other song. I have tried both Chrome and Firefox, both with hardware acceleration turned on and off. I have tried both Windows and Linux (Mint). In every one of these configurations, the issue occurs.

I have the same problem and have tried clearing cookies and turning hardware acceleration on and off with no success. I haven’t seen a fix anywhere. Most annoying issue because if I listen to and album will have the same song play twice while skipping over songs so I really only listen to like 10/20 songs.

Having same issue too tried different browsers resetting cookies and nothing fixes it. Its super annoying since it happens almost every other song making it impossible to just play an album or playlist without constantly having to click on a a song multiple times to fix it.

Has anyone found a fix for this? I've been in contact with Apple Support and they hadn't heard of this issue, so it's clear that these forum posts don't do much...
