My Canon MF620C series sets up with my printer, but NOT the scanner

I have a Monterey 12.7.6 MacBook Air and I was able to set up my wireless printer, but my Canon MF620C series will NOT let me set up the wireless scanner? It gives me an error message: “The operation couldn’t be completed (com.apple.imagecapture error 4294957375.) (-9921)?

I did a quick search on the Canon site and there is no MF620C there. There is an MF624C and MF628C and both are retired products.

There is a scanner driver available for both of those models (Scanner Driver & Utilities for Mac V2.15.19). That's what you probably need. Check the exact model number of your printer/scanner and download & install the necessary driver from the Canon support site. There is also a User Guide for the scanner driver.

That said, Vuescan works with your scanner without needing any Canon driver. (Although wireless scanning may be another issue.)
