Apple AirPod Pro Selected as MacBook Audio Output but Sound Coming Through Speakers
This is an ongoing issue across AirPods and now the Pros. The MacBook connects to the AirPods, and they work perfect. Then I take them out to do something else, and when I put them back in, the MacBook will only play sound through the speakers. This has been over years and more than one product (except the same MacBook).
My steps:
- Verified the audio output has AirPods selected in both settings and simple menu.
- Turned bluetooth off and on to attempt to reconnect
- Turned MacBook off and on to fix glitches
- Reset AirPods completely (both former and current set)
- Ensured all updates are completed
Is there anything besides the aforementioned steps to try? Is this a known problem?
