iMac 27-inch 2019; running Sonoma 14.6.1
Not a heavy user of Facebook, and only access it on my desktop computer. Today I logged in and was bombarded with unwanted stuff generated by Meta AI. My efforts to find a way to disable it were responses on how to do so on iPhone; which is not helpful in my case.

I don't use FB so I'm not sure what you're seeing? Are these pop-ups? Ads? Something else? As you access Facebook through a browser, I suggest starting with an ad blocker.
