Certain iCloud files not syncing

Before downgrading to Sequoia, I realized that the whole folder, regarding my university studies, disappeared from my devices, but not from the iCloud Drive through web access. At first my MacBook was showing the whole folder, with the files.

After downgrading my iPad, iPhone and MacBook Air, the problem is only persistent on my MacBook. The phone and tablet is OK, I can access my files, but not on my Mac. I've turned off and then on again the sync, tried the killallbird terminal prompt, nothing seems to be working. While I had the folder on my laptop, I dragged it to the desktop, which is not synchronized, deleted the folder from the web, uploaded it again through the laptop drive sync, and yet still not working.

I haven't had this experience, but I think there are a couple of things I would try. You don't say what you see at iCloud.com, but I'm guessing it's the same as on your i-things.

First, in the deleting and re-adding thing, I would give iCloud at least a day to forget about the folder. Forgetting is hard for a computer, and since it is unusual for someone to delete a file and re-add it, the forgetting is a low priority, sometimes.

Of course, you could try renaming the folder. You could also try compressing the folder, giving it a different name, and loading that. Give it a while and then un-compress it.

I am assuming that you deleted the folder on your i-device.

Pretty weird. What happened with compression?

Is it possible the stuff is invisible? Command-Shift-period shows or hides invisible files.

By web access I meant iCloud.com. I see everything there, and nothing on my laptop.

Tried the reading thing all well, didn’t work.

Tried changing the name of the folder: then it appears, but the content is still empty on my Mac. I even tried to share it and collaborate on it with others, they only see an empty folder as well. But at iCloud.com and at my phone and tablet I can access and open all my files.
