How to remove picture, clock and weather widgets from MacBook Air. It won't let me delete them. Was never there before the new macOS Tahoe 26 update. It feels like my MacBook and Phone are mirroring each other even though it is off.

To actually get the real estate in the top left corner back, you need to remove the widgets (right click > Remove Widgets). Simply turning them off in Settings will not give you back the desktop area, it will simply hide the widgets and you still will not be able to use the area.
