Screen Goes Black then Displays Connection Details In Upper Right While Watching Any App

Hello - when watching any app on the AppleTV (antenna TV not affected) the screen will go black briefly (audio is maintained), then display the connection settings in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. It always reads:

HDMI

3840x2160@60Hz

This is happening in the middle of the content. Sometimes it will do it 10 - 15 times throughout an hour-long program. At other times, it will only occur once or twice. Occasionally, not at all.

It is happening with Match Dynamic Range and Frame Rate set to on or off.

It is a brand new HDMI cable and the HDMI port is eArc which I am using to get sound from the video game systems to my HomePods.

Does anyone have any ideas? It's a real immersion killer. Thank you!
