If you have a retailer nearby with some monitor displays, visit and see what the different resolutions look like, and for some prices.

This model is hard to find and many scalpers out there so not much of a deal. At the beginning of this year it was being sold <$1000 but now not so much. Model #LG UltraFine 27MD5KLB-B

Depends. Do you want one with speakers, cameras and extra ports or just a display? Many to pick from. I use an LG 27" 5k with all the content noted.

I've had success with LG, Asus, dell, samsung and lenovo
