Hi,
My AppleTV will sometimes go dark and then flash a bright white light followed by the actual screen with weird colors for a brief moment every few seconds or so. The only fix is to power off the device.
Why is this happening and how can I fix the issue for good?

Your profile shows you are on TVOS 18, not sure if that is accurate but make sure the device is up to date (TVOS 26.0.1). Also, when you use the remote you are putting the device into sleep mode. In order to reboot the device disconnect from power, wait 10 seconds and then reconnect. You can also try a restore. If it persists contact Apple.
