Has Ios26 update reduced touch screen sensitivity on both my iPad and my iPhone 15 pro max?

Has Ios26 update reduced touch screen sensitivity on both my iPad and my iPhone 15 pro max?

And perhaps my iwatch too!

Both my iPhone and my iPad have reacted badly to the latest update. I am literally having to long press and repeatedly press to get any kind of response.

I have checked out all of the forums and followed their advice, removed screen protectors to see if that helps but nothing changes. My iPhone seems more affected but that might be more to do with how often I am using my iPhone.

Please advise.

YES! I’ve been looking for a place to report this! My lock screen camera button and flashlight buttons are totally different on my 15PM. I have to push it it multiple times, completely different from the latest IOS. If I need my camera quickly, the lock screen shortcut is useless.

also, when I have the phone mounted on my bike, it’s impossible I change songs. The buttons “click” and I can see them acknowledging a press, but they do nothing

Oh my gosh, it’s been bothering me so much too. For me, it’s most noticeable when using the quick action menus like when I touch and hold on a photo to save it. There’s barely any feedback that the option was selected, and so many times I’ve thought I saved an image only to realize I didn’t.

Like I used to be able to just hold and immediately drag my finger down to select ‘Save’, but now I feel like I have to hold and then tap ‘Save’ separately just to make sure it actually registers.

However, it’s like that on every other place where I can do the whole “press and drag movement” in menus. It’s hard to explain, but it really just feels so awkward now and definitely was not like this before.
