Check with Palo Alto networks for information on properly removing their VPN app. Whether it’s deleting thst plist, or using some removal tool, I don’t know.
Given the cleaner app and the other issues here, I’d be included to backup, wipe, reinstall, and use the initial setup to migrate files and documents and preferences and not apps.
If you want to try to get a few more years put of this iMac, I’d consider adding memory, and maybe switching to external SSD boot.
MacSales / OWC has Mac memory that matches the Apple specs, and they support it. Some of the other add-on memory available can have specs that are “optimistic”.
When this Mac is retired, the iMac memory can’t be reused in a new Mac, but the external SSD can continue to be useful.

There’s a cleaner app, an old and malfunctioning VPN installed, Grammarly is using the Meta Llama AI, a shopping app likely tied into the browsers, some broken apps (possibly due to the cleaner?), and it’s an 8 GB Fusion configuration which is swapping; using more memory than is available.
"CleanMyMac" claims another victim.
Hey, this is very helpful, thank you! Any idea how to delete the malfunctioning VPN? When I go into network settings, I don't see a vpn and I can't find it anywhere in my applications either.
