Can my Apple Music app be fixed or can I find an alternative?

For 10+ years until February 2025 I happily used the iTunes app to build a personal library of 40,000 songs, digitizing 1500-2000LP’s, importing 500+ CD’s & sharing music with a network

of fellow jazz lovers – I used the iTunes Store sparingly to replace damaged vinyl tracks & fill gaps in my collection. I regularly used iTunes to sync my growing collection to a succession of iPhones.

In February I was forced to move the entire collection to Apple Music. From the beginning I resisted using the Cloud Music Library; I just want to "personalize" my collection & enjoy it

on my iPhone wherever I go!

After paying $10.99 a month for a user-unfriendly app (compared to iTunes), I discovered a week ago that using Apple Music to sync a single selected playlist can remove all 40,000 songs from my iPhone

16 – without warning! After spending 10+ hours at my PC & some hours on the phone with a succession of tech support reps, I am now unable to sync a single playlist!

I have finally connected with a knowledgeable senior adviser & hope he can resolve my case. Ideally I will finally be able to use Apple Music to manage my music on my PC and my phone without ever

connecting with the Cloud Music Library!

Alternatively, can anyone point me to a user-friendly successor to iTunes?
