can't delete document and desktop folder from iCloud

all of a sudden 2 folder got created in my iCloud name document and desktop I tried disable the feature that syncs these folders from your Mac by going to System Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > iCloud Drive Options and unchecking Desktop & Documents. after that I deleted again but it reappear on chatting with customer support they said they can't help me

When you turn off Desktop & Documents, the folders remain on iCloud Drive so that you don't lose the contents. New empty folders appear in your User's folder to act normally. You can copy the contents of the iCloud Drive Desktop to your user's Desktop folder, and you can delete the contends of the Desktop folder on iCloud Drive.
