After the Sequoia macOS 15.5 update, I can no longer drag downloaded files from the Safari download tab to the desktop???? Help!

This issue seems to have arisen, along with a couple of others, since the update to Sequoia 15.5. I can download a document/folder/file/etc..., and it still wizzes up to the upper right corner normally into the Safari Download tab (thingy) to finish loading.... Once finished loading, when I go to drag and drop that to my desktop, it does not allow that function any more, and jumps back to the Safari Download tab! I have tried the suggestions, such as making sure the "Use Trackpad for dragging" is on, etc... But nothing works! Please help, thank you! This is VERY annoying, after having created a style, and thus habit for many years on Macs of doing it this way! GCB.
