iPad a16 ipados26 some downloads disappear

I have iPad os26. I have websites I use for art such as canva, prome etc. when I try to download generated images on promeAI , safari says the image has downloaded , however it is nowhere to be found even when I search by name. An older iPad I have it works fine, but on ipados26 these downloads can never be found, though they do appear in safaris download list (I have preference set to delete from list after 1 day). It seems really bizarre that these downloads vanish and are nowhere on the iPad or iCloud. I even tried changing safari preferences to download to a specific folder and downloads from promeAI never appear there. What is going on that is different in ipados26?
