Mail App is not respecting the selected From email

I compose a new email, I select the email I want to send from, I send it and it gets sent from my iCloud.

This use to work flawlessly, but I noticed it has stopped working.

In settings, I've tried both Automatic from best account and the default email but this is not a solution. So I have to manually select the email from settings just so the mail app respects the From selector in the compose window?

I've read through the old posts and none have a solution besides using another mail client.

This bug needs to get resolved
