Phantom audiobooks persist when trying to sync Mac with iPhone

Trying to sync ipnone with mac via USB for the first time. Added (imported) a single audiobook into the iBooks library:

But when I try to sync with iPhone via finder it shows ghost books from an old library I used to have on a Windows PC from which I migrated to this Mac years ago:

None of these books are on this Mac or iphone. How can I get rid of them? Tried all the suggestions found online unsuccessfully.
