How to buy a MacBook?

Hello,

I have been trying to buy a new MacBook for days with no luck.

I was wondering if anyone had noticed the same error messages popping up.

I want to take advantage of the deal that is currently being offered to students and buy a new laptop and headphones.

I kept running into issues when trying to pay, finally it went through and I checked the order the next day it was cancelled without warning or reason.

I spoke with my bank and they said everything was fine on their end.

I made another attempt and manged to order the same laptop and headphones. I called customer service to check the order and they said everything was fine on their end.

Today I checked and it was cancelled with no warning again.

I tried to make another order and I received the error in the screenshot.

I called Apple and they said they needed to clear the cancelled orders on my account so that I can make another order. I then spoke with the sales team and they ran into the same error.

I went back and forth with Apple a few times and they advised either waiting and trying again, going into a shop or trying to order it using the guest checkout.

I tried to buy it again and received the same error as posted when using the guest checkout.

I won't be able to get to a shop before the 30th which is when the offer runs out.

Does anyone know how I can bypass this so I can order online?

Did you try having someone else order for you using their account ? I mean, I understand when someone is buying a MacBook they’d want to make the purchase under their name. I’m certainly one of those guys.

But if you really want that offer and you cannot get to the store before 30th, is it possible that you have a friend or a family member go to the store and make that purchase for you ?

P.S - I’m assuming you’ve tried apple.com. Did you also try the Apple Store app on your iPhone ? Just checking a possibility.

Contact Apple Support using the Support link below: Official Apple Support

Something odd is going on with that Mac. Assuming there is no obvious quantity limit you need technical support, not sales support. Apple Support has the ability to remotely see your Mac (with your permission of course), show you what to do, and maybe determine what's holding things up. Perhaps they'll have a better idea.

Use the above link and no others.

Is there anything in your "shopping bag" (see the screenshot below)?

If there is, click it, then Remove all items and start over.

I surmise Apple would have already had you do that though...

This is an issue on Apples end. Is it still possible to get the discount at the shop after the promotion has ended since the fault is on their end?

I doubt it.

It's almost as though Apple doesn't want you to buy anything. If they have become so apathetic it's over for them. They had a good run.
