i am looking for the option save to files when downloading pdf sent to me by mail. why this option is not seen.

In Mail, just tap the image of the PDF. It will then open in the Preview app. Then, in the Preview app, tap the Share icon (top right) and choose Save to Files.

Things have changed a bit in iPadOS 26.
Tap the PDF. It will open it in Preview (this is a new app in iPadOS 26.) Tap the Share icon (top right) and choose Save to Files.
Thank you for reply. pdf from mail opens but no option of preview. it just gives option of share to either notes, ibook , kindle and few others. I have installed 26
