How do I restore the old Launchpad in macOS Tahoe
How do I restore the old Launchpad in macOS Tahoe, and how can I disable the liquid glass effects on the phone? They completely ruined everything.
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 26.0

I use tons of keyboard shortcuts when I'm on the keyboard. I rarely use screenshot shortcuts because I've always had the hot corner/launch pad. It's just quick and easy and it's my habit for that and launching other frequently used apps. Not happy that Apple stripped it. It would be less insulting if they had given us a useful new feature, but they didn't. They just gave us a weak, stripped down spotlight search, that would could already access in a variety of ways.
What Apple is trying to do is merge MacOS with iOS/iPadOS functionality as we move forward. I get that. Fine. Make that the default if you like. But why not simply include "Use Launch Pad" as an option in settings?

I find this comment rather ironic… you at once mention Apple “merging” their OS in the context of removing from macOS something that is central to the user interface of iOS and iPadOS… talk about “unmerging”?

Since we cannot change macOS, I don't quite understand the pile driving insistence that we come over to the dark side.
Misery loves company?
Thank you for this! You have saved my sanity.
About the only thing that Launchpad was useful for was uninstalling apps from the app store. Now you have to go to the App Store app to do that.
What does using full screen apps have to do with anything???? Could you explain that?
Launching an app using Command-space works irrespective of your current application being in full screen or not.
FWIW I do screenshots and screen capture all the time. Command-Shift-3 or -4 or-5
Different ways to work, I get that. Some people still go through all the way to the Edit menu to do a Copy 😎
