I tested the connection to my Apple TV 4K and found that it is stuck on 100Mbps. My switch has 1GB ports. The wireless is over 300Mbps. Sometimes shows seem to buffer while watching for periods of time. I was able to test my connection with another device, and it pulls 1000Mbps on the switch. Any ideas that are preventing this from getting the max speed?

Something in the chain between the Apple TV and the router is not Gigabit compliant.
What type of ethernet cable are you using between the Apple TV and the router?
Is there anything else in that space, like an extender or ethernet switch, or a ethernet wall port that is not rated for gigabit ethernet for example?
With that said, 100Mbps should be more than enough for un-interrupted 4K video without much issue.
The Apple TV requires 25Mbps for 4K video at least, so 100 is 4 times the minimum.
There should be no buffering or other issues in any way.

No, that should work. And if the same cable connected to the same port works with another device then the connection would appear to be fine.
Have you tried simply unplugging the Apple TV within 5 to 10 seconds and plugging it in again?
It seems some Apple TVs will not negotiate a higher transfer rate after waking from sleep and require a restart.
It's a 19ft cat6 cable from the device to the switch. The cable tested fine, and I connected another device to it, which showed a speed of 1000Mbps. Are there any other reasons why it might not work? Just seems odd to me.
