If you cancelled your own plan, you don't get immediate access to an Apple Music Family plan that is still in the free trial portion.

What I asked was if the Apple Music Family Plan was still under the Free Trial, in other words, the Family plan was recently subscribed to by the Family Organizer and has not yet charged them the first time.

In that case, once the Family Plan renews into a paid subscription and charges the Family Organizer you should get access normally.

Manually canceling your own is what caused the delay. Otherwise the transition is automatic and seamless as Apple automatically cancels your plan when you join a family group with a shared Apple music subscription plan.

Do not renew your own plan, there's no point at this time to do that. Just wait until the Apple Music Family Subscription renews from the Free Trial into a paid one.

Did you have your own Apple Music plan and recently cancelled it?

Is the Family Plan a recent acquisition? Is it still in the Free Trial phase?

If you answered yes to all 3 questions, then you need to wait until the plan renews to a paid subscription before getting access to it.

Once it renews, it should automatically activate for you.

I already explained what should happen.

No, there are no other alternatives.

There's no more to say and no other options.

If the Apple Music family plan you are trying to access was already out of the Free Trial when you joined, then you should have had access immediately. But you might still need to to wait until your expires entirely.

Yes I did have my individual plan and it expires on 26 this month, the family is a recent acquisition and not a free trail phase

i didn’t get the meaning of plan renewing to a paid subscription, does it mean that I should renew my individual plan and on the due date I’d automatically join the family and would have to pay for the individual plan?

Thank you
