Issues adding cards to wallet after upgrading to iPhone 17 lineup

on iPhone 17 launch day, I transferred everything from my 16 pro max. After trying to add a card on my 17 pro max, I keep getting “unable to connect to wallet services, try again later”

I was finally able to get my Apple Card to add but none of my other cards will add - giving same error message.

starting to think this may be an iOS 26 issue as my mom had issues adding her card on her iPhone 17 (came from 14 pro) and my husband can’t add his cards to his iPhone 16 pro max (my old device). Can someone help?
