AssistiveTouch Button malfunction after upgrade to iOS 26.0

Hi,

after upgrading to iOS 26.0 (iPhone 11) recently, the AssistiveTouch Button does not function properly:

I have the AT button placed in the bottom half of main screen where it suits me perfectly. Until recently, when keyboard activated for typing, the AP button automatically moved to the very bottom of the keyboard, off the keys, and after deactivating the keyboard, it automatically jumped back to its original position. Perfect for me, love that.

However, after upgrading to iOS 26.0 it does not move off the keys anymore - it stays on the same position and interferes with my typing.

I know I can move the AP button with my finger but I hate having to move it with any app I open or whet typing and then having to move it back to my prefered position. I don´t like chasing the button around the entire main screen area.

I have tried to repeatedly turn on a off the AP function, adjusted it, restart the phone.... Nothing has helped!

Any ideas anyone? Help! Thanks.
