Missing option for 'Your Photos' as custom wallpaper in MacOS Tahoe

Yup, same same - although I have two accounts set up on this iMac and the Your Photos does appear on the second one, but not the one I did the update from. Also, cannot add a Folder, just a single file at a time. Here's a shot of my missing option....

It’s not uncommon out of the gate. All we can do is post feedback to them through the feedback app, talk about it here and hope they see it.

The "Your Photos: Add a Photo" button is supposed to be between "Dynamic Wallpapers" and "Landscape", as Apple's user guide shows. But in OT's post, the button is missing.

It didn’t seem to impact the setting on my main user account. So, it seems as though it’s a local user setting which got disabled in the OS. I just don’t know how to enable it.

I’ve asked other people who upgraded, and they’re not having the problem. You and I are the only cases I’ve heard of so far.

Since you have Tahoe 26 running you have AI. Bring up Safari and type in the question "How to add photos to Wallpapers setting in Tahoe 26 system".

I've used it to figure out Sequoia several times.

I've also tried the right-click 'Use as Desktop Picture' straight from the file itself and from Graphic Converter with no joy. And also dragging and dropping the picture into the wallpaper dialog with no result, although the plus icon will show up.

I have the same issue and try to use the photos app to set a photo as wallpaper didn't work. On my second try it even crash my mac ...

I saw that in a new account on the same mac the option is there. Does someone knows where the wallpaper configuration is located so I can reset it may be we the other account config.

So a few things:

1) I wiped my machine, and the option to use my photos as a desktop background came back, but temporarily. It went away on its own after a day or two when it was working fine.

Same issue for me. In the Wallpaper system setting, under the Your Photos section there's an option to "Add Photo..." That gives me the choice of picking a single photo from Photos or a file, or a "Photo Set".

The Photo Set choice is listed in a haphazard and cumbersome order, including identified people and then existing photo albums in a strange order. Smart Albums do not appear to be included, which is what I'm looking for.

Yeah it’s not there at all for me. I submitted a bug report to Apple.

Just upgraded to Tahoe and hit the same issue. It is unbelievable that Apple could get such basic functionality messed up. What are the QAs doing?
