Changing my Apple Community username

I mindlessly created my account some years back (I dont even remember if I suggested the username or it was given), and today when I visited this account there’s a username I cannot use publicly. I now would love to participate more in the community as I am a seasoned user of Apple Products and wish to help others.

When in the settings there’s several things I can edit even the profile picture but; I cannot change my username. I’ve found posts from many people with the same issue and common repossesses are ‘I have notified the relevant people (moderators) you will receive an email soon.’

I have two issues or suggestions:

• firstly, help me change my username quickly of-course 🤣😅, be it there’s somewhere in the profile settings to do so that I missed or an email address I can use to contact the moderators to assist, then
• can there be an option to do so ourselves as users (on the profile if it isn’t there) be it once off or annually [if there’s some t’s and c’s concern of people now misbehaving and abusing the system and platform] etc.

The second point is because I saw a couple of requests that were urgent, so my thought was if a user (this is a relevant participate to the platform) needs a solution right now it would be uncomfortable to wait for an email.
