new router, same ssid and password, all matter / homekit devices not responding

I have new network gear. It is connected and functioning properly. The problem is all our HomeKit / matter devices are now not responding.


is there a method to transition to new network hardware and if not then why ?


network equipment is changed cyclically as it dies or newer tech comes along.
