Can’t use Apple Gift Card for in-store pickup

I tried to use my gift card to buy my new iPhone for pickup. It keeps changing and saying I can only do delivery I do not want to wait 3 weeks when the phone is right there in the store. I tried to go in the store and use them and they said they couldn’t and they don’t know what’s wrong with the card. I called Apple support they said nothing is wrong. 😑 this is frustrating because I traded my phone in last week and I need the phone. Has this ever happened to anyone? If so can you tell me what to do? Also I will never trade the phone in early again for gift card.

Yes it won’t allow you to apply apple gift cards to pick up orders, it will just say the time slot for pick up is not available anymore. I kept trying to do this when a phone became available and then when I just purchased it without the gift card it allowed it to go through. Best bet is to just go to a store around noon when they’re restocking and hope they have one and use the gift card in store. Same, won’t be doing trade in’s with them next time.
