I cannot add my debit card to my apple wallet, it says "This Card is Already in Wallet" even though ITS NOT

Today i backed up my iPhone 12 Pro Max and restored from that backup because it was having some lag/stuttering issues which seem to be fixed now. I'm on ios 26, when i tried to re-add my Commbank debit card it says "This Card is Already in Wallet". I dont know what to do, i have tried searching the internet and all I can find is 3 people with the same issue, and this one guy 'askbarnabas' replying to them all with this long list of general default advice (very unhelpful). I have tried everything I can think of, signed out of Apple ID and back in with phone restarts so many times. The issue is definitely NOT because my bank/the card is 'incompatable' I have been using that card with apple pay for years before the restore from backup I did today. Please help me, I have been trying to fix this for like 5 hours.

If the card is in you Apple Account you may be able to add it from your account,

iPhone > Settings > Your Name at top of screen > Payment & Shipping > if you card is present, tap > review options

If you can’t add from Apple Account or it’s not present, you’ll need to contact the issuing bank support team and have them check for any tokens. Card needs to be reprovisioned in order to be added to Apple Wallet.

Does the card appear in the “Previous Card” section of your Wallet app? The error message “Card is alleready in Wallet and Card is incompatible are two entirely different error messages. Which on are you seeing?

The error is “This Card is Already in Wallet”. My card did appear in the “Cards Found For You From other devices” section (if thats what you mean by “Previous Card” section), but since it was giving the error, I deleted it as part of the trouble shooting to try to fix the problem

In IOS 26 From this

iPhone > Settings > Your Name at top of screen > Payment & Shipping > if you card is present, tap > review options

There is no “Payment & Shipping” only “Payment and Delivery”, if i follow this and click on my card (because it is linked to my apple account), there is no option to “Review options”.

I will try to contact my bank
