MacOS 26 Music will not play the next song in library

This may be more of a user education issue than a bug so I appreciate your patience. In MacOS 18 the music app would automatically play the next song when the previous song finished in the library "Songs". But in MacOS 26, this no longer happens, the currently selected song plays and then it stops, nothing more is played. How do I enable play next in "Songs"?

The reason Music was not playing the next song is because the current song was selected by hitting the "return" key. Instead, doubling clicking on the current song does play the next song. Go figure...

Yes! This is freaking annoying.

Just like you said, we cannot press "return" and have a "Continue Playing" automatically ready. In my case, I play music from my Library in shuffle, and from time to time, I'd like to go pick a given song, press "return" and continue listening... but now, since macOS 26, it's not an option.

I know it might sound like "you ONLY have to use the mouse/trackpad now"... but they are entirely changing a lifetime shortcut/UX.

I'd also add to this "complain" that there's no way to get rid of the History if you're using the Mini Player
