Double-tap quick action overridden to play music in watchOS 26 on Apple Watch SE 2

Before stupidly updating to WatchOS 26 -- I had quick actions setup so that, while i had a workout out on the go, i could pause it by swiping left and 'pause', and when i was ready to resume it, i would turn the watch to my face and double tap (index finger to thumb twice) to resume the workout.

Since the update this no longer works. instead the double tap tries to play music. It starts to search for bluetooth headset. Its ridiculous cuz while its doing all this its draining the life out of the battery.

I can't seem to do anything about it. Any ideas?

This is another thing that seems to be rendering my watch useless since updating it.
