After the update to 26, for some reason my sons MacBook is showing as an option when I switch to speaker phone. I’m not sure how. He has his own Apple ID. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Open the Audio MID Setup.app and remove it from the list.
I haven't updated my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 26 yet, but perhaps check the setting on your son's iPhone under Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity, if AirPlay Receiver is on set to Everyone instead of Current User, perhaps changing that or disabling it will remove if from your Mac's output list.
