Passkey bug and error that it still shows email address after updating AppleAccount email address
I created a passkey when logging into my Apple account. Later, I changed my Apple account email address, now called my primary email address, from ***@outlook.com to ***@icloud.com, and removed ***@outlook.com from my Apple account. Initially, everything worked fine, but the passkey still displayed "Logged in via ***@outlook.com," indicating a bug.
I tried to delete the passkey using the Passwords app, but it was unable to do so. I contacted Apple Support and was told that the inability to delete the Apple Account passkey was "expected."
However, the passkey displaying the old email address was a bug. I contacted a senior Apple Support technical advisor to no avail. I also reported the issue to Engineering, but received no response.
This is a serious issue, having occurred since iOS 17 and still unfixed in iOS 26.
