Macbook Pro M3 Pro stops detecting external display after sleep
Recently I have upgraded from a Macbook M1 Pro to a MacBook Pro M3 Pro 14". I have been using my Macbook with the same Lenovo Y34WZ-30 monitor using a USB-C cable. I have come upon some very strange behavior however. When connecting my Macbook to the monitor using the USB-C cable, it works completely fine. When my MacBook goes to sleep and wakes up again, the external display does not light up. It also does not show up anymore under display settings. The peripherals connected to the monitor (mouse and keyboard) do still work. The only way for the external display to show up working again is by either restarting my Macbook or hard resetting the monitor by pulling out the power cable and plugging it in again. This behavior is not present on my old MacBook Pro M1, and also not on a MacBook Air M2. Trying a different USB-C port also does not change the behavior. I've had this issue on MacOS 15 as well as the new version 26. Anyone knows what I could try?
