Locked out of secondhand iMac
I purchased a secondhand iMac from Facebook marketplace. I placed a password on the boot up process and it seems I have forgotten it.
iMac (2017 – 2020)
Following assumes Intel.
Given your comments, I’d preemptively replace the mainboard battery.
Apple Configurator 2 can reportedly do this, with a T2 Mac 2020.
This will not bypass Activation Lock.
