After searching for this bug in the forum, I solved in this way. Turn off the iCloud sync, wait few seconds, then turn the sync on. In few minutes the Calendar is populated with the events downloaded from iCloud. The search now works. Hope this helps.

I just spent about an hour on the phone with Apple. Their engineers are going to be looking into this as it appears to possibly be an issue that is either in the Calendar app itself or the system software. They have scheduled another phone call with me for next week.

They took screen recordings of the failed searches on my MacBook Pro (Tahoe) and my iPhone 16 Pro (iOS 28) as well as successful searches using Spotlight/general search function.

I will try to post an update if/when I have one.

Mine is still not letting me search with the Calendar on my MacBook Pro. I'm running Tahoe 26.0.1, & there is no further update available. When I try to search, it will only give me events from 2020 & before. Not very helpful to me now... Do you know what changed for you? All of my devices are updated to the latest OS, & I am signed in with the same Apple ID on all. Thanks.
