Notes synchronization between devices stopped working after macOS Tahoe update

After installing system 26, note synchronization between devices stopped working. All devices have the iCloud option enabled, and I turned it off and back on again on all of them. Unfortunately, nothing has changed, and notes added on the Mac do not appear on the iPhone.

I resolved the issue by following these steps (Suggested by ChatGPT)

Delete Notes cache (safe to do):

  ◦  Open Finder.

  ◦  Press Command + Shift + G, then enter:

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Caches

~/Library/Application Support/CloudDocs

  ◦  Delete the contents of this folder (not the folder itself).

This appears to be a bug. I see the same behavior on a Mac running Tahoe and an iPhone running iOS 18. A new Note created on the Mac does not show up on the iPhone. A new Note created on the iPhone does show up on the Mac. Same for edits to existing notes, they sync from iPhone to Mac but not Mac to iPhone.

When editing a Shared Note on the Mac, even though changes do not show up on the iPhone the Apple Account icon and editing caret show up on the iPhone note when it's being edited from the Mac, but the edits themselves do not transfer.

Seems to have been a glitch for me. After quitting Notes on the Tahoe Mac, turning off then back on iCloud syncing of Notes, then relaunching Notes it is behaving normally.

But...the single note that I created on the Mac that didn't sync to the iPhone or another Mac is just...gone. It's not in the Notes sections, not in Recently Deleted. It's as if I never created it. Good thing it was only a test.

I cannot get anything from Notes on my iphone to my Macbook laptop since this update. I thought this all stemmed from the icloud update. I thought I resolved that, but I still cannot: Airdrop, email, or sync files from Notes. This is problematic since I heavily use the scan feature in notes for work. Worse, I can't even schedule an appointment at a genius bar in a store (it says that service is not available). Regarding the fix provided here: that subfolder for the cache does not seem to exist on my computer. How can I fix this???
