iPhone displays “No internet connection” when trying to download Apple Intelligence after iOS 26 update

I live in a country that did not have access to Apple AI prior to the iOS26 update. My iPhone 16 auto updated last night to the official version of iOS26 after I’ve been using the beta for some time. When I woke up I saw that the phone got updated and once I clicked continue the following happened:

I was in fact connected to the wifi in the screenshot I provided, and I even tried using 3 different wifi connections including my hotspot. I reset the phone a couple times, but the same keeps happening. The phone is fully responsive and I still get notifications from apps like instagram, however I’m stuck on this screen and can’t use the phone.
